Abstract:
Using the intermediate material "7539" as fragrance donator, and the hybrid manner by multiple cross, the synchronizing appraisal and selection have been done within the hybrid progenies in fragrance, resistance and plant modality.After a directional selection and breeding of 10 years, a disease-resistant restoring line which called Dalixiang 15 was screened.The serial hybrid combinations of the restoring line,Ⅱyou 15 and D you 15, which possess the virtue of well excellence, moderate maturation period, better rice quality, rice blast resistance and high yield of seed production.Moreover, both varieties have been adopted by Fujian Strains Audited Committee.
Super-high yielding characteristics and regulation techniques in Ⅱ youhangl using as ratoon rice cultivar

Abstract:
6.7 hm2 demonstration areas of super-high yielding ratoon rice were established in Youxi County of Fujian Province.The average yields from 2003 to 2005 were 12 375 kg·hm-2 in main cropping season and 7907 kg·hm-2 in ratoon rice.Output investigation and test result analysis indicated that:①The output of ratoon rice and the quantity of total spikelets in the per m2 area display extremely remarkable relation, in main rice, spikelets per spike was related best to yield; in ratoon rice, the spikes per m2 was related best to yield.②To realize superhigh yielding byⅡyouhangl, the key in main cropping season was how to cultivate further big spike on the basis of adequate spike and breaked through the bottleneck of total spikelets per m2, forms 45000—50000 spikes per m2 of storehouse capacity; the key for ratoon rice was boosting germination rate of auxiliary bud, forming more spikes than that of main rice and offsetting shortage of small spikes by using more spikes, forms 35000 spikelets per m2 of storehouse capacity.③The main techniques for super-high yielding were:optimized growing period, excavated latent productivity of climate resources, sowing and planting early in order to prolong vegetative growth period, cultivating rice in ridge bed with intermittent furrow irrigation, advancing fertilizer practice, maintaining soil moisture and aeration, cultivating developed shape and high functional root system; cultivating main rice well, improving vitality of root system at later stage, leaving higher rice stubble and dressing heavy fertilizer to promote buds and tillers of ratoon rice.
Effect of exogenous hormone on formation and development of potato microtuber in vitro

Abstract:
The interaction effects of IAA, GA and BAP on the formation and development of potato microtuber in vitro was studied.The results showed that the interaction between IAA and GA could accelerate the growth of potato microtuber, the highest increment was 90.3%, but the interaction between IAA and BAP could restrain the growth; the interaction between IAA and GA had no significant effect on the formation and growth of plantlet root.BAP was a very important factor for potato formation, and the interaction between GA and BAP could accelerate the potato growth.The fresh weight and diameter of potato plantlets in Treatment 4 increased 163.8% and 46.4%respectively than those in Treatment 3.
Selection and breeding of new sugarcane variety for sugar and energy-Mintang 92-142

Abstract:
Mintang 92-142, selected from the cross combination of Guitang 57-624 and Zhanzhe 74-141, is a new sugarcane variety with medium-late maturing, high yield, high sucrose content, high adverse resistance and wide adaptability.The results from different sites for several years in Fujian showed that its mean cane yield was 140.446t·hm-2, sugar yield was 19.529t·hm-2and was 30.4%and 23.4%higher than that of the currently leading variety Mintang 70-611 in Fujian Province, respectively, biomass was 200.637t·hm-2, and it is a new variety for both sugar and energy cane.

Abstract:
Mintang92-505 selected from the cross combination of Xuan 15 and CP73-1547, was a new sugarcane cultivar with early mature, high yield and sucrose content, stronger ratooning ability, high adverse resistance and wide adaptability.The results from different sites in Fujian for several years showed that its mean cane yield was 118.424t·hm-2, sucrose content of cane (absolute value) was 15.05%during the period from Nov.to Feb.next year, sugar yield was 17.887t·hm-2 and was 24.30%, 0.87 percent points and 32.20%higher than those of the currently leading cultivar Mintang 70-611 in Fujian Province respectively.
Screening of antagonistic strains against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense on banana

Abstract:
Thirty-five rhizosphere strains with inhibitory activity to Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense race 4 were screened by pairing culture on PSA from 130 strains which isolated from the healthy banana rhizosphere soil.Among which 16 strains showed good antagonistic effects with 6-11mm inhibition zone diameter and>2.0 antagonistic coefficient, 7 of 16 strains showed steady antagonistic effects.The results showed that the culture solution of antagonistic strains FBS, FB2, T2WF, T2WC and W10, watered into injured banana roots, could give more than 81%control efficiency on the 50th day after inoculating the pathogen.Furthermore, the culture solution of antagonistic strains FB5, T2WF, T2WC and W10 could enhance the growth of banana seedlings.
Proliferation of Ralstonia solanacearum marked with rifampicin on the tuber of ginger

Abstract:
Proliferation dynamics of rifampicin marked strain of Ralstonia solanacearum Zb01rif on the surface and within the tuber of gingers were investigated.The results showed that Zb01rifcould colonize on the ginger surface when the ginger was treated with Zb01rif 102cfu·ml-1for 6 h or 107cfu·ml-1for 0.5h and planted into the soil for 1h.The Zb01rif could be isolated within the tuber of ginger when the ginger was treated with Zb01rif at 10 cfu·ml-1 for 6h or 107 cfu·ml-1 for 0.5h and planted into soil for 48 h.The population of the Zb01rifon the surface of ginger was higher than that within the ginger.After the ginger was treated with Zb01rif and planted into soil, the population of Zb01 on the surface of ginger declined first, and then increased rapidly and declined slowly in the end.The population of Zb01rif within the ginger increased slowly within 15 days and it increased rapidly after 20 days.
Pre-culture effect of Agaricus blazei and Valvariella volvac for rice straw on its ruminal degradation

Abstract:
Rice straw was treated with Agaricus blazei and Valvariella volvac in different periods.The in sacco degradation experiment was carried out to study the effect of pre-culture on improving straw degradation quality.The results showed that comparing with V.volvac treated and untreated groups, the DM degradability of A.blazei treated straw increased by about 15.17%(PPV.volvac treated group, the Heel and Cel contents in residue decreased by 8.03% (PPA.blazei was euhured, the higher degradability was obtained.Dynamic of ruminal degradation revealed that the soluble proportion (a) and degradable proportion (b) of A.blazei treatment increased by 12.4%and 16.8%respectively, and its degradation (c) improved by about 0.0152.On the contrary, V.volvac treatment indicated no significant improvement in straw ruminal degradation quality (P>0.05).
Isolation and genomic sequence analysis of porcine circovirus type 2 from pigs

Abstract:
Post-weaning multisystemie wasting syndrome (PMWS) is an emerging disease in swine.Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) has been associated with the PMWS.Two PCV2 strains were isolated from pigs showing signs of PMWS in Fujian Province.They were denominated FUQING0401 and PUTIAN0401.the sequencing of 2 PCV2 strains along with the phylogenetie analysis of these strains and those of 12 PCV2 sequences published in GenBank were compared.Sequence analysis of the complete genome indicated that the Fujian PCV2 strains were closely related to each other but also to other PCV2 strains originating from Canada, USA, Europe and China.Sequence analysis of ORF1 genes of the 2 strains revealed that the extent of nucleotide homologous was 97.5 %.The amino acid sequences alignment of the PCV2 replicatase protein identified 6 amino acid heterogeneity.Capsid protein genes of PUTIAN0401 and FUQING0401 homologous rate was 99.7%, and the amino acid homologous rate was 98.7%.Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the 14 strains could be divided into several clusters, but the homologous rate was different from 91.6%to 99.9%.The two strains from Fujian were spread in small groupings and an association with geographic origin could not be established.
Analysis on AFLP and RAPD markers of plumage color trait in mule duck

Abstract:
The labeling effect of plumage color trait of mule duck were studied by RAPD and AFLP techniques.Theresults indicated that:①The bands were less in RAPD method, 297 clear bands were amplified by 37 primers in all.On average,4 bands were amplified from a primer.In total 37 primers,only 15 specific bands were obtained by 7 primers, thereinto 10 specific bands belonged to white-plumage mule buck.②AFLP fluorescent map was clear and bands were abundant ,more than 1000 bands were amplified by 16 primers combinations.In 16 primers combinations, 90 specific bands were obtained by 4 primers combinations, in which 37 specific bands belonged to whiteplumage mule buck.AFLP technique was more suitable to be used in studying plumage color trait in mule duck.

Abstract:
The distribution and histology of lymphoid tissue in the Fabricius’bursal stalk were studied.There were large amount of lymphoid tissue in Fabricius’bursal stalk.The largest distribution area and the great quantity were at the dorsum of the stalk.The bursa-associated lymphoid tissues included follicle associated epithelia (FAE), intro-epithelial lymphocyte (IEL), dome area, lymphoid follicles and highendothelial venules.Their structures were similar to other mucosa-associated lymphoid tissues (MALT).The results indicated that the lymphoid tissue of Fabricius’bursal stalk was one kind of the MALT.
Detection of the antibody against Riemerella anatipestifer Serotype 2 by indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay

Abstract:
The Riemerella anatipestifer (RA)Serotype 2 treated with ultrasonic cracking was used as coated antigen, horseradish peroxidase-labelled rabbit-anti-duck IgG was taken as the second antibody, Tetramethyl Benzidine di hydrochloride (TMB) was used as coloring agent in this test.The indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed for the detection of antibody against RA Serotype 2.This method was proved to be very specific, sensitive and repetitive.The result showed that the ducks treated with inactivated vaccine of RA Serotype 2 had specific antibody in their sera detected with indirect ELISA on the 7th day after vaccination.The titre of the antibody was up to peak on the 28th day after vaccination, and then declines, the titre of the antibody on the 56th day after vaccination was higher than that on the 14th day after vaccination.
Comparative test on efficacies of three chemical medicines against rabbit coccidiosis

Abstract:
In order to compare the efficaeies of Diclazuril, Rumensin and Robenidine against rabbit coccidiosis, rabbits (n=50) were randomly grouped into uninfected and unmedicated treatment (Ⅰ), infected and unmedicated treatment (Ⅱ), Rumensin treatment(Ⅲ), Diclazuril treatment (Ⅳ) and Robenidine treatment(Ⅴ).TreatmentⅢ,ⅣandⅤwere artificially infected with rabbit coccidian oocysts (1×105) after being fed with drugs for three days.The results indicated that Diclazuril was the same effective as Rumensin and more effective than Robenidine in reducing oocyst output and controlling Eimeria spp.lesion and Coccidosis mortality, and increasing body-weight gain and feed effieency; the effectiveness of Robenidine was poor and had little difference from that of infected and unmedicated.It was concluded that Robenidine was not fit to be applied continually and solely, new highly effective medicine should be used or medicines should be used alternately and combinatively against rabbit coccidiosis.
Culture and influence factors of isolated-microspore from cauliflower (Brassica oleracear L.var.botrytis L.)

Abstract:
Isolated microspores of eighty early and middle cauliflower cultivars were cultured.The main factors affecting the embryo induction of the microspore were studied.The results showed that embryoids had been obtained from twenty cultivars, the inducement ratio was up to 25%.It was advantage for microspore survival in the medium with 16%sucrose.The optimal concentration of sucrose for microspore development was 13%.When adding liquid to the medium during the culture, the embryo yield could be significantly improved.The optimum donators for isolated-microspore culture were the buds selected in the prophase to medial phase of full bloom and the microspore selected at the late uninucleate stage to binueleate stage at 10—20℃within six days, after the heat-shock treatment at 33℃for 48h and continued culture in darkness, the embryo yield was the highest.

Abstract:
Dynamic changes of endogenous hormone and polyamine contents were investigated during in vitro shoot regeneration from hypocotyl explants of Chinese cabbage [Brassica campestris ssp.pekinensis (L.) Olsson].The results were as follows.Before shoot primordia occurred (0 to 8 days after inoculation), endogenous zeatin ribosides (ZRs) and abseisic acid (ABA) contents increased, while indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) content decreased.After shoot promordia occurred (on the 8th day of inoculation), the contrary changing patterns of ZRs, ABA and IAA contents were observed.At the early stage of culture (0 to 8 days after inoculation), ABA/IAA and ZRs/IAA ratios increased, then gradually decreased after adventitious shoots occurred.Endogenous putreseine (Put), spermine (Spm) and spermidine (Spd) contents increased at the early stage and then gradually declined during the culture course, these indexes reached their peaks on the 8th day of culture.Similar changing patterns were also observed in the ratios of Spm/Put and Spd/Put.The results indicated that endogenous hormone and polyamine contents and their balance were closely associated with the in vitro adventitious shoots regeneration from hypocotyl explants of Chinese cabbage.
Physiological and biochemical analysis of Agaricus spawns during its aging process

Abstract:
Researches have already shown that aging of strains is common in the growth process of mushroom, and may accompany with a series of changes in physiology and biochemistry.This paper reported the invesitgations on the aging of the five strains, and results showed that changes in the relative rate of elecrical conductivity, MDA content, and the activities of SOD and CAT for each went differently.However, a decrease trend activity of ACP wasobserved and the activity of ACP was significantly different when each spawn was treated with different times of cultivating, which could be used as an indicator of aging degree of Agaricus spawn strains aging of mushroom.

Abstract:
Sense or antisense expression starch branching enzyme gene rbe1 had been introduced into rice restoring line Minhui81 (Indica Sativa L.) to improve rice starch quantity by Agrobacterium—mediated transformation.PCR and Southern hybridization showed that rice starch branching enzyme 1 gene had been integrated into ricegenome.Analysis of amylose content of T0 generation seeds showed that the content of amylose with sense expression starch branching enzyme 1 gene reduced compared with that of the non-transgenie Minhui 81, while the content of amylose with antisens expression starch branching enzyme 1 gene increased.

Abstract:
Classical physiological and biochemical methods and 16S rDNA analysis were used to identify two biocontrol bacillus strains BS-2000 and JK-2.Physiological and biochemical identification showed that BS-2000 related to Bacillus licheniformis, JK-2 related to Brevibacillus brevis.16S rDNA analysis showed that the 16S rDNA sequence of BS-2000 shared 99.9%homologies with sequence of Bacillus licheniformis from GenBank, the 16S rDNA sequence of JK-2 shared 99.9%homologies with sequence of Brevibacillus brevis.So it is considered that the strain of BS-2000 belongs to Bacillus licheniforrais and the strain of JK-2 belongs to Brevibacillus brevis.

Abstract:
Polyphenols are important substance which affect the growth of tobacco and their product quality.The progresses in the research on tobacco polyphenols, such as metabolism, regulation and accumulation, were summaried in this paper.The effect of polyphenols on the quality of tobacco, the factors affecting the metabolism and transformation of polypheols and so on, were also mentioned.The emphasized fields for the future and the importance of the studies on the biochemical alteration to tobacco polyphenols and its relative controlling techniques in Fujian Province were also put forward.
Evaluation on environmental quality in the soil of tea garden in Fuan by GIS technique

Abstract:
The environmental quality in the soil of tea garden in Fuan was investigated and evaluated by GPS and GIS.The results showed that the proportion of excellent, fine, unqualified tea garden were 67.9%, 31.4%, 0.7%.Soil pollution in tea garden mainly came from the contamination of Pb and Cu, and the proportion were 4.0%and 1.3%respectivdy.The Cd and Cr content in soil were lower than the pollution limit to green food producing area, and the content of Hg and As were within the criteria of non-polluted tea garden.Therefore, the environmental quality in the soil of tea garden in Fuan is fine in general.
Effects of nitrate nutrition on active oxygen metabolism in the leaves of wheat seedlings under heat-stress condition

Abstract:
The relationship between nitrate nutrition and active oxygen metabolism in the pre-senescent wheat variety L14 under heat-stress condition was investigated.The results indicated: under the conditions of either moderate or severe heat stress, nitrogen nutrition improved the activity of enzymes(SOD, CAT) related to active oxygen metabolism, reduced the harm of ex-oxidation (MDA) of membrane lipid.However, the change of non-enzymic components (AsA, GSH) in active oxygen metabolism showed difference.The contents of AsA apparently rise but that of GSH appear insensitive with increment of nitrogen concentration during moderate heat-stress; nitrogen nutrition evidently promoted reduction of contents of AsA and GSH at 42℃heat stress.It means nitrogen nutrition can raise scavenging capacity of active oxygen, reduce its harming function and finally alleviate the high temperature stress when the stress temperature is lower than about 37℃.
Effect of different levels of fertilization on banana yield and quality in Zhangzhou

Abstract:
The results in field experiment showed that, under the soil fertility condition in banana garden in Zhangzhou area, the optimum fertilizer application was N675 kg·hm-2, P2O5 60—120 kg·hm-2, K2O 900~1200 kg·hm-2, the optimum ratio of N: P2O5: K2O was 1:0.1—0.2:1.3—1.8 in order to gain the banana yield about 45t·hm-2.In the sandy soil, the optimum S and Mg fertilizers were 90kg·hm-2 and MgCO3 75kg·hm-2 respectively, To compare with traditional fertilization, the balanced fertilization increased banana yield by 7.8%.Soluble matters, reductive sugar content and total sugar content were increased remarkably after increasing application of P, K fertilizer.Vc and reductive sugar content were also increased significantly after applied S fertilizer.Balanced fertilization increased soluble matters by 6.9%, Vc by 9.0%, reductive sugar content by 22.8%compared to traditional fertilization.
The selection of strains and optimum technology for the brew of longan wine

Abstract:
Orthogonal designing experiment was carried out to study the effect of pretreatment technology on longan wine brewing, and the selection of longan wine yeast strain, the factors affecting content of volatile acid, the brewing technology was optimized.The results showed that the quality of longan wine was the best with pure fruit juice brew adding active dry yeast; the primary and secondary factors of affecting the content of volatile acid were the content of SO2, the ratio of citric acid and malic acid, the content of acid and the fermentation temperature.The optimum combination was A1B3C1D3, i.e., the content of acid was 6.5g·L-1, SO2 was 80mg·L-1, fermerntation temperature was 25℃, the ratio of citric acid to malic acid was 0: 1.
Breeding of a new balsam pear variety Minyan 1

Abstract:
Twenty-seven crossed-combinations from high-general self-crossed-systems with longer heredity-distance and different origin had been tested.The combination "120" (Minyan 1) displayed early-middle ripe character.The fruit was long spindle, glossy light green skin, weighed about 300—450g with 26—32cm in length, 5.0—6.5cm in diameter and about 0.8cm in thickness.The fruit meat tasted sweet, fragile and little bitter.The fruit yields ranged from 26000 to 32000kg·hm-2, and was 1.97%, 13.7%, 16.5%higher than that of the local cultivars in Zhangping, Xiapu and Fuqing City demonstrations, respectively.
