Abstract: The half-xyloid tender branches of loquat with 8-10cm long and 0.4-0.7cm in diameter were employed for cultage in the suitable seedbed after soaking the branches base in 200 ppm IBA or 200 ppm NAA for 3 hours 2ccording to varying varieties,respectively.The air temperature and humidity were retained in 20C-30 C and over 85%, respectively.The treatment of fine spray as well as other comprehensive techniques were used.2246 tender branches were cuttaged and the growing root was 91% in 45 days.The transplanting survival rate of these growing root seedlings was 99%.The remaining branches without growing roots were treated repeatly by 200 ppm IBA for half hour and the growing root rate were 88.0% after 30 days.The time of raising seedlings by tender branch was one year shorter than that by graftage.
