Isolation and Identification of Acetobacter in Tibetan Kefir

  • One Acetobacter strain, FJAT-13797, was isolated from Tibetan kefir.The image under scanning electronic microscope showed that the bacterium was rod-shaped with round ends, and presented in single or pairs without spores.The strain showed the bio-chemical properties of Acetobacter spp.The 16S rDNA sequence analysis indicated that the strain, FJAT-13797, belonged to Acetobacter orientalis.
