Effect of Salicylic Acid on Cut-flowers Eustoma grandiforum During Vase Periods

  • Cut-flowers Eustoma grandiforum were steeped by different concentrations of salicylic acid.The changes of fresh weight,flower diameter,water balance values,relative conductivity,soluble protein content,praline content and soluble sugar content were investigated.The results showed that suitable concentration of salicylic acid could prolong fresh day,increase fresh weigh,maintain water balance,delay the degradation of soluble protein,lower the relative membranes permeability and reduce the content of proline.Our results suggested that 60 mg·L-1 salicylic acid was the best fresh-keeping effect.
