Callus of Asparagus officinalis L.was induced on MS solid medium with bormone Embryonic callus was obtained from the selection and classification of the callus.Embryonic callus was proliferated by suspension culture in contained2,4-D 1～1.5mg/L MS liquid mediurn,Callus of more than lmm was inoculated on hornlone-free MS medium to induce somatic embryos.As agar concentration was increased from 0.6%to 0.8% or 1.0%,vitrification of somatic embryos decreased.Non-vitrified clubshapped embryos gern1inate and develop into normal plants on 1/2MS hormone-free solid medium.
