Establishing artificial wetland and its application for dairy farm sewage treatment

  • Establishment of artificial wetland and sewage treatment for the dairy farms in Daheng,Nanping is introduced.The pollutant removal rate by the combination was analyzed during different stages.The result showed that the artificial wetland/sewer treatment combination could effectively remove N,P,BOD,COD,and SS in sewage.In addition,by cultivation of selected plants on the artificial wetland,it could supply fresh fodder for dairy cows reducing production costs for the farms.The practice could not only decontaminate the potentially pollution source but also recycle nutrients.
