Regional Economic Development of Under-forest Areas in Southern Fujian—A Case Study on Zhangzhou

The current status, advantages and existing problems relating to the economic development of the underforest areas in the city of Zhangzhou were studied.Derived from the information gained from the case study, strategies for the economic development of similar regions in Southern Fujian were formulated. The recommendations included planning for the development, nurturing of new agricultural businesses, and standardization for the industry.
