Abstract: As pig farming becomes increasingly concentrated and scaling up in size,its sewage discharge and waste disposal has overwhelmed the surrounding areas causing deepened concerns on environmental pollution.This paper reviews the related literature published in China,as well as foreign countries.It is intended to provide the pig farmers with available information on technologies for the effluent treatments and material recycling so that their operations could be improved and a pollution-free environment realized.
